Sun, Aug 28 Northwest Mission Center worship, Courtyard Marriott, Billerica, 10am Happy Father’s DayA father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. (Psalm 68:5) As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. (Psalm 103:13) These scriptures give us a quick glimpse of the heart God has for his children. As we honor him today, we also want to honor and thank our physical fathers who have impacted our lives in countless ways. For your love, your leadership, your hard work, your strength, and your tenderness, we say thank you. To those whose fathers have passed on, we hope you will take comfort in precious memories. For those who did not grow up with a father, or had difficult times, take heart in knowing you have a perfect heavenly Father. And to all of those who have been our “fathers in the faith” we thank God and thank you for the difference you have made and are making in our lives. Happy Father’s Day!
