Happy Father’s Day

A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. (Psalm 68:5)

As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him. (Psalm 103:13)

These scriptures give us a quick glimpse of the heart God has for his children. As we honor him today, we also want to honor and thank our physical fathers who have impacted our lives in countless ways. For your love, your leadership, your hard work, your strength, and your tenderness, we say thank you. To those whose fathers have passed on, we hope you will take comfort in precious memories. For those who did not grow up with a father, or had difficult times, take heart in knowing you have a perfect heavenly Father. And to all of those who have been our “fathers in the faith” we thank God and thank you for the difference you have made and are making in our lives. Happy Father’s Day!

Summer Sundays

Please take note of the locations for Sunday worship in July and August. We will continue at Butler School through June, then have our traditional Independence Day weekend worship at the Hudson Elks Club on July 3 (more information in next week’s NW Weekly).

On Sunday, July 10, we’re celebrating as a whole Boston Church for the first time since the pandemic, with an outdoor service at Bridgewater State University.

Then for the rest of July and August, Sunday worship will be at the Courtyard by Marriott, 270 Concord Rd, Billerica.

Family VBS and Fun Fair

Families with kids entering kindergarten (fall 2022) thru preteens! On Fri, July 8, 4–7pm and Sat, July 9, 10am–12:30pm, at the Arlington building, we are planning a special time filled with amazing worship, friendship building, activities, and games around the theme of HayDay: Growing in Friendship with Jesus. Parents are invited to worship with their kids and attend one activity together, then hang out in the parent fellowship area for some great conversation! Our Friday evening concludes with dinner together. After our Saturday program, there will be a Family Fun Fair from 1–4pm to continue the fellowship and memory making with music, a bouncy house, and a petting zoo.

Register at events.bostonchurch.org to attend the VBS program; no registration needed if you only attend the Fun Fair. For more info or to volunteer, contact Bridget Koha (bkoha@...).
