9/11 Day of Service

The Boston Church and HOPE worldwide are organizing these service opportunities:

Respect and Humility Workshop
Saturday, September 10, 12:30–3pm, 214 Concord Street, Framingham

Join us for paradigm-changing discussion on addressing the root causes of poverty with respect, humility, and lasting impact. Participants will identify ways to transition existing and future outreach to amplify the God-given strengths of our neighbors and honor their dignity through participatory, justice-informed outreach and meaningful exchange.

Sign up at: https://hopeww.volunteerhub.com/lp/boston/?format=0&filter={} or with Yovanny after church.

Bringing Hope to the World
Sunday, September 11, 5–7pm, 214 Concord Street, Framingham

HOPE worldwide Massachusetts is conducting a charitable fundraiser to support outreach programs in Central America, Ghana, and Uganda. Our intention is to show love and support to children and families to build unity and provide hope.

We will have an inspirational presentation followed by cultural exposure by eating a typical dinner from these countries and participating in some drum and African percussion instrument instruction. Tickets are $40/adult and $20/teens and children 5 and over.

You can purchase tickets at: https://secure.everyaction.com/X45QKqMUe0i72zZiHvwW0A2

Back to School Supply Drive to help children in Uganda

Yovanny Duran (917-318-5809) will collect school supplies every Sunday until Wednesday, September 7. Needed supplies include backpacks, geometry/math sets, notebooks, pens and pencils, erasers, crayons and colored pencils, scissors, art and graph books, calculators and extra batteries.

Fall Children’s Ministry

The children’s ministry will start a new teacher rotation on September 4 when we are back at Butler Middle School. Three different classes will be offered:

·       Toddler and Preschool (1 year old/walkers to Pre-K/5 year old) in the Library

·       Elementary (Kindergarten through grade 3) in the Cafeteria

·       Preteens (grades 4–6) in the Gym

A separate classroom will be designated for parents of infants who are not able to stay in the auditorium.

Intern Housing Needed

Kolade (pronounced “Koliday”) Ajuwape will be joining us as a COAL (Chance of a Lifetime) intern from late August until May, serving to build up the campus ministry at UMass Lowell. After his time of training here with us for 9 months, he will go abroad for 3 months to serve other churches. If you can offer or suggest housing or a car, contact Glenn (glennppetruzzi@..., 617-777-6696).

Congratulations!

Yovanny and Nicole Duran are expecting their first child February 2023. Please pray for them as they anticipate the joy of another baby in the fellowship!

With God’s strength, and the support of family and friends, we are getting through this.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
