Walk for HOPE

As many of you know, the primary church-wide fundraiser for the poor is the annual Walk for HOPE, coming up May 22. This year’s funds will be distributed to 10 food pantries and a donation for food insecure refugees in Ukraine.

Please pick up your fundraising packets in the lobby and help our neighbors locally and the many hurting people in Ukraine. You can set up a fundraising page and find lots of ideas online: www.hopeworldwidema.org/walk-for-hope-resources

The weekend of the walk will include many special events. Many dearly loved brothers and sisters from all over the US will be in town for the HOPE worldwide national board meeting: they will share good news and inspire our community outreach.

Northwest Devotional/Ice Cream Social this Friday

Join us this Friday, April 29, 7pm, at Butler Middle School for a Northwest Mission Center devotional entitled “Let Them,” followed by an ice cream social. Kids are also invited!

Guiding our Children Through the LGBTQ+ Maze
with Love and Truth

Presented by the NextGen Ministries of the Boston Church of Christ

Join us as Guy Hammond and Kathy McBrien from Strength In Weakness Ministries speak to us about how to help our children and teenagers navigate their questions and understanding when it comes to LGBTQ+ issues as they deal with their own feelings, the experiences and perspectives of their friends, and the strong messages they receive from the world around them.

Parents of teens and preteens: Friday, May 6, 7:30–9:30pm, at the Arlington Masonic (19 Academy Street, Arlington). There is a teen devotional at the same time at the Arlington building (75 Pleasant St).

Parents of children ages birth through preteen: Saturday, May 7, 10am–1pm, Arlington Building. Childcare will be available.
