During this important time together, we will share the vision for these ministries and how they work together, and then break out by ministries to cover the policies for working with children and teenagers. Cultural MixerOn Saturday, February 4, 10am, the European Missions Society is sponsoring a Cultural Mixer on Zoom. This is an opportunity to create connections between US and European churches, and is open to everyone no matter your life stage. Father-Daughter DancePlease join us for “A Night Among the Stars” on Saturday, February 11, 6–8:30pm, at the Arlington building (75 Pleasant St). This is a special event for our daughters to be celebrated by their dads or a special adult role model in their life (grandfather, uncle, close family friend) and is open to all ages. The evening includes dessert, crafting, games, and dancing. Please register by February 4 at fdd.bostonchurch.org. Cost $10/person, $30 max/family. Hosted by the NextGen Ministries of the Central, Northeast, Northwest, and Spanish North Regions. Marriage Retreat, Registration OpenFriday–Sunday, February 24–26, married couples are invited to gather at the Westin Portland Harborview (Portland, Maine), with couples from Northern New England for a weekend of inspiring and practical lessons, great fellowship, and time to focus specifically on connecting as spouses. Grief GroupBruce and Jennifer Radl would like to facilitate a grief recovery group if there is interest, for six weeks starting in March on Saturdays, 9–11am on Zoom. Participants use the book Grief Journey in Motion by Dr. Timothy Sumerlin ($15/copy) to guide them on the grief journey in a way that seeks to imitate Jesus’ engagement in grief, builds faith in a compassionate God, and resolves relationship issues.
