Registration: $45 per couple (For in-person or online attendance) Room Rate: $139 per (includes all taxes, fees & parking for one car per room per night) Registration includes Saturday evening dance w/desserts and beverages Breakfast buffet: $40 (all inclusive) per couple. Register as soon as possible due to limited space (For the safety of everyone, wearing a mask is required.) --- About the retreat The hit television drama series "This Is Us” follows generations of a family starting with one couple. The award-winning writing does not shy away from exposing the more gritty, painful aspects of the marriage relational dynamic. Similarly, the narratives of marriage stories in the Bible do not come sugar-coated. From the very first couple of Scripture, there is heartache, perseverance through challenge, and great stories of overcoming. John and Arlene Markowski will also invite us into the very real, ridiculous, and sometimes heart-wrenching aspects of their twenty-year love story. As people striving to shine faith into their marriages, we look forward to our own self-discovery, refreshing marital tools, and inspiration with “This Is Us.” About the Markowskis Shortly after becoming Christians at the University of Southern California, John & Arlene Markowski began serving side by side in the full-time ministry in 1999. They fast became BFF’s and didn’t take long to fall in love, get married and start having kids. In 2010, the Markowskis sold everything and moved across the country with their two children (Thalia & Jaden) to join a mission field revival in the heart of the most densely populated urban center in the US. The Markowskis currently lead the Big Apple Church, the Manhattan Region of the New York City Church of Christ This couple has had the privilege of speaking to churches throughout the US and around the world, from Caracas to Jakarta, Moscow to Tokyo. Recently, Arlene has been busy serving on the NY congregational gender committee, the hiring team, and the ICOC women’s program committee for the World Discipleship Summit leadership track, while John completed a Masters Degree in Biblical Studies. John & Arlene also moonlight as NY tour guides, salsa instructors, and food critics, but have yet to receive an income for their top-notch work.
