Hello Church Happy New Year! This Wednesday 1/5 at 7:30 pm we will be having our first midweek of 2022 on zoom. We will be laying out the plan for 2022. Our theme for 2022 is "ACTS 2022". We will be speaking about how we can live out the book of Acts in our communities both inside the church and out. We live in a very different time than our first-century brothers and sisters but the same principles apply to change the world today. We will go through our plans on our calendar for 2022, speak about our new midweek series and speak about the five pillars of the early church that were central to the early church. 1. Prayer - Acts 1:14 and dozens of other passages 2. Listening & Obeying the Holy Spirit both in scripture and in their hearts - Acts 13:1-3, 26:19 3. Loving as Jesus would inside and out of the church - John 13:34-35, Acts 4:32-35 4. Preaching the gospel and God's word anywhere they went - Acts 8:4, John 4:1-2 5. Radical Unity - Acts 4:32-35  Our goal is not just to "desire" to live out the book of Acts but to actually live it out! So much so that if the early brothers and sisters looked at our lives they would say, "you inspire me!" For if we are truly a restoration movement we must make it our quest to live out the book of Acts every day! And even more importantly to inspire God to work in a way we have never seen before in our whole Christian lives! For Acts is not just a historical account of the early church it is a prophecy of what can happen in every generation when men and women of God commit to the same things they were committed to! "LORD, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, LORD. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known." Habukkuk 3:2 Remember church they were human beings just like us - our expectations must raise for what God has called us to do...... "Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops."
